Air conditioning question

Hey boys and girls. I noticed that the vent on the left of the steering wheel by the window doesn't blow nearly as strong as the two center vents on the dash. I do have the vent open all the way and have played with the direction to see if that was the culprit. Do all your vents blow the same or is this normal?

Just curious.

TIA

Unfortunately, TIA... NORMAL, and nature of the design of the duct routing, with no internal vent restrictor to even out the output...:tapping: Same problem with Porsche and Audi as well.... :shakehead: ... kinda a bummer when it's REALLY hot, :whew: or REALLY cold, yes?! ~ But nature of th' beast... ;)

Same issue here. Does not help when it's triple digit temp in SoCal.

Yup... :iagree: just is what it is... fer some reason, our German designer friends (BMW, Porsche, Audi), didn't put a whole lot of concern into this feature... FWIW, one of things Ford and Toyota did above and beyond, was fix this in their units... :stickpoke :nanana:

:iagree:  Exactly. While the E70 does some things amazingly well, there are a lot of design faults for such a very, expensive high-end German vehicle!!

'Zackly !! You'd wouldn't want 'em to give you your FULL "money's worth", would ya ?!! :bustingup  :D

I remember there being a hundred post or so thread about this topic...one other member had a major problem with his.

Mine is fine....

Yep... I believe he finally figured out how to use the vent settings menu.
According to him it made a difference.

Try this... http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e70-forum/...highlight=vent
