Spotted X5, X6 hybrid and camouflaged 7 series on the freeway
 

Hey Guys,

Thought I would share several BMW sightings on my local freeway. Sorry in advance for the pic quality, they are from an iphone and I was driving.

I first spotted an X6 with blacked out roundels and stickers that said hybrid. The X6 was also sporting a carbon fiber hood. It was following a 1 series, then and X5 with blacked out roundels, another 1 series and then what appeared to be a 7 series in full camouflage.

The X5 also had some weird paint work on the lower bumber as to hide its overall look. Guessing these were some test cars. :dunno:

I think the camouflaged one is the new 5 series

Where in SoCal are you? There is a BMW training facility in the Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga area that I was sent to once, they likely have these cars there.

Yeah that's interesting I wonder what they were testing or trying to hide on the X5 and X6. Man, the landscape looks REALLY brown in SoCal--is it drier than normal there this year ?

Any information on the official date for the new 5 series?

:bustingup Wasn't in the X. I am in Simi Valley which is like 2-3 hours from Rancho Cucamonga.

We are in a drought. Fire season coming up and cut backs on fire services, so you will see us on fire in a month or so.

:rofl: Were you on the 118? I saw a similarly camouflaged X6 Hybrid about a month or so ago when I was on the 118 going westbound. It was at night though, so I couldn't snap a photo.
