Another GP Thunder 7500k Angel Eye Comparo with comparison

5 Attachment(s)
Just installed the GP thunder 7500K H8 angel eye bulbs in my truck along with the H11 fog bulbs at 7500K and thought I would take a few pics. Unfortunately I forgot to take pics with the fogs on but I hope I make up for it with comparison pics with my wife'x X5 which is bone stock right next to it so you can see the difference between stock and GP Thunder at 7500K in the late afternoon. I will get fog shots this weekend.

Not as yellow, but still yellow, I will take $100 LED bulb instead, thank you but no thank you sir.

I have 8500k in mine which are a little whiter, but best mod in my book for $15. I had the $100 LED's and I would take these over them, they might not be as white, but they light the outer rings better than my LED's did - LED's looked like they where not on during the day at all. The $100 LED's lasted about 6 months before one stopped working - second set lasted 2 months before one died - I would not waste money on the LED's again unless it was something like LUX, but for $200, they should be awesome.

Still hoping for something LED that works like LUX or factory for that awesome LED color and costs $100 and doesn't quit working, until then $15 gpthunders are where my money is at!

This is the best looking pic of GP Thunders I think I've seen. I wish in that second pic, your wife's car had the LUX led's in it for comparison with the GP Thunders.

On a $70k vehicle, $200 worth of lightbulbs doesn't sting me that much.

Looks good!

Have you guys compared the GP Thunder 7500K vs the 8500K?

I read somewhere the 7500K is a bit brighter, and that the 8500K is just a tad more blue. Seems like a toss up but maybe the 7500K is the way to go?

Would like to see pics with the fogs...

Also, what are you guys using for a matching turn signal bulb in the headlights for that matching xenon look all up front for the E70?

Thanx

This is what I have read too, that is why I went with the 7500k versus the 850k. I wanted it to be a bit brighter...more yellow=brighter.

Someone mentioned the LUX2.0 for $250...I thought about it, but if I am going to pay that much, one of the e90 members makes a custom HID Kit that is even brighter than the LUX LED kit. If I was going to sepnd the $$ I would go with the HID setup. Right now the GP thunders work fine. None of the kits actually help you see any better so the only reason to change bulbs is so OTHER people see what you have done...:p:

PS I will shoot pics of the fogs tomorrow.

do you find that your angel eyes and fogs mismatch even though they are both 7500k? The angel eyes don't show much blue but the fogs do. I dropped to 7500k fogs and it is still blue-ish. But a bit better match to the 8500k angel eyes.

BTW, clean off that brake dust on the 214s before it cakes on! Ferric gray all around would be nice though. :D

Just put the GP Thunders in my new '11 this morning (also have them in the '10 M6 and was in the '10 750). I buy them from a guy here in CA, on eBay. $16.99/pair and free shipping. We keep about 2-3 packs on hand at all times. In my '10 750, the GP Thunders would burn out around 3000 miles!

Of course no where near as bright & awesome as factory LEDs, but SO much better than factory halogen H8 bulbs!
