I actually just ordered them last week should be here soon.
Saw them on preLCI on the road a few days ago I'm hoping I like them better on LCI.
If not they will be for sale :)

So I did this today
I'll post pics Monday when I get to a computer.
They look great,
The tabs on the part of the spear the goes inward on the grill were too wide so I actually snipped the tabs off and the grill still holds in place.
I wired them to the angel eye bulb plug inside the headlight so that they will turn on when I unlock the car.
It comes with a interface box for wiring that has a dimming wire, but I cut it out and wires them directly since it was making them flicker unless the engine was running.
Figured the box was needing more power and since it was only for the function of dimming that I wasn't going to use, I cut it out, and now everything is great.
Will report back tmoro

they are Lux v4 replicas made by Dtec.
I compared them to my friends V4s and they are exactly the same output but a more intuitive color switching method which is a push button instead of Lux's switch matrix.
oh, and $75 cheaper
if your not familiar they can change from 5000K to 12000K, aka white to blue and every hue in between.
unfortunately the X5 angel eye design is not good for thsi setup.
the front of the inner projector that houses the angel eye bulb is open, and allows the bulb to be visible.
so the first setting that a blue led turns on, you can clearly see that 1 blue LED (it uses a combination of 4 white LEDs and 4 Blue leds to make the desired color)
i tried them on an E9x and e8x and since the bulb is not visible since its in a housing deep in the headlight and only shoots light through a glass tube to the headlight rings, it works much better in those cars.
i have mine on the most white setting.
im actually selling them and going to get the same bulbs that are just pure white instead since i wont ever go more blue.
here is a picture with the color i wish they were, but up close seing the blue LEDs killed it for me

and here is them super blue (not my style)

Would these fit an 09?

I had to replace mine as one burned out. If these are the bright white or blueish white?

Thanks.
