Hot weather = yellow oil dripping on rear bumper

Hi guys,

I have a 2010 X5D... recently its been hot in california, 90F+. Every afternoon I would see yellow oils dripped on the rear plastic bumper. I dont know where it came from. In the pictures, you can see oils in the gap between the part under trunk and plastic rear bumper.

Has anyone experienced something like this? where could the oil come from?http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...987/photo2.jpg

It may be panel sealant that you'd also notice on the back side of your doors at the very bottom. It shouldn't be melting though that is wierd.

Almost looks like residual new car shipping protectant. A heavy soap like coating. They never clean it all off, you see it on the bottom edge of panels, doors.

Imo

I had that fluid show up for half a year after purchasing the vehicle. Not fluid, more like gel consistency. It would come out of small openings on bottom edge corners of the vehicle in doors and tail gate. Was a bit of a hassle to clean off periodically. I assume it's some kind of lubricant.
