i just went thru that problem crack in intake valve port on head when you start the vehicle it is going to skip for a few seconds up to a minute what i did was when it was running and missing i would disconnect one coil at a time you would know which one it is because you won't notice any change when you disconnected like if the coil was bad but it ain't. as soon as it burns the antifreeze the truck would run fine until it sits then re start it. you will also get the code misfire and it will tell you which cylinder. hope this helps
by the way unless you have the appropriate tools don't bother doing it your self
double vanos if it is the 3.0i is a job in its self.doing the job my self between special tools use head and head gasket set and misc stuff you find questionable i spend $1200.and the head came with out cams that was another project to switch over with out braking them with out the very expensive tool.good luck
