Is anyone familiar with an updated dipstick for our cars?

I'm just remembering that a day or two prior to the SES light I check my oil and the dipstick was PIA to get back in.

After the code popped on I remembered having a hard time with it and I checked to make sure the top was seating correctly and it seems to be flush.

Possibly related?
