I'm just remembering that a day or two prior to the SES light I check my oil and the dipstick was PIA to get back in.
After the code popped on I remembered having a hard time with it and I checked to make sure the top was seating correctly and it seems to be flush.
Possibly related?

So I just checked the oil while I was looking around for the culprit to my lean condition and I pulled it out to find it bone dry with cotton woods seeds stuck to it
definitely an OMG moment.
I shine mine light down and re insert the dipstick and see the tip poke out into the engine bay.....That's why it was so hard to get the dipstick in last time the DAMN upper dipstick tube came unseated

I just checked the undercarrage and notice some oil on the frame rails and I'm about a quart low. I wonder if it's be coughing oil up out of my half a dipstick tube ?
