Mine was on since I bought it in January but got solved a couple weeks ago...compressor was out as well as 2 sensors.
I'm the kind of person that cannot stand service engine soon light or other related messages ...yet I lived with it for about 6 months..
Now , one of my friends has a 530i...his dash looks like a Christmas tree and hasn't changed in the past 3 years..
