In my experience of looking at cars for 60+ years, no 8 yr old used car is a "9.8" unless its been stored for the duration, occasionally driven to full hot, and hand cleaned between being covered/stored.

It is indeed "all in the eyes of the looker", but imo, a Dlr won't care much as they will probably wholesale it out, after you gotten beaten up via a trade in.

A private party may be enchanted by it's condition, however.

The prices quoted by previous posters are in the ballpark, imo.

It is an 8+ year old model X, that may find the 'perfect interested buyer', or it may not.

PS: You regularly mention that you have been a BMWCCA member for decades; I rec'd driving your X to the next cars & coffee/meet and seeing if any other local chapter members are interested.

PSS: when it comes to cars, motorcycles, boats, et al, one always tends to have an inflated value of what their stuff is worth, in my experience.
