What I can tell already is that at 4,000 lbs the X3 will be no Lotus Elise. However with awd I should be able to get power down early and hard. Understeer should be the predominant cornering attitude, while grip levels from the all season Michelins should be low.

I think I will start with tires at 40psi front and 44psi rear. DSC off obviously...

Other than that, I just can't think of anything else mechanical to do, other than check the oil.

I have absolute faith in your abilities, R. There have been a couple of guys who have either auto-x or tracked their X5's so I know your X3 can handle it. Your skills behind the wheel of the X3 will put some to shame.

I'd come out but it's the wife's b-day weekend so... I can't make it.
