Check offerings built on the ZWave protocol. I have recently begun playing with it. As I type in fact, I am having two ZWave-enabled thermostats installed. They have cameras, thermostats, light switches, 110v plugs, and even LED light bulbs. It's a larger home automation protocol, but you can do some nifty things with it.
