Four8, to be simple a sealant is a synthetic product made to mimic the shine of a traditional natural wax but be longer lasting and more durable protection in harsher environments.

Your friend probably used the 3M perfect it line, which is a compound, polish, and finishing wax. When he says 3 stage he is talking about paint correction.

You can wax/seal your X from here on out with whatever you'd like, pick your poison. Applying sealant is much like applying wax, apply, allow to haze and then buff residues off by hand. Will leave a super slick surface.

I also have a can of Sonax Polymer Net Shield and I love it because of the durability, but it's a different application method and leaves the surface not as slick to the touch, but it's very dirt/dust repellant and lasts for months. I tend to use it on wheels and door jambs and such right now, as I'm using up some older products on my shelf (I still have a bottle of Power Lock from 2010)

Pm me if you need some tips and/or questions so we don't clog the threads

Alright thanks for the info !
I'm gonna order a bottle of Sonax , I just watched Phil's video from DD on Sonax and all I can say is wow! ; this product beads water like crazy.
Will pm with more questions!thx
