I would stick with OE or OEM fluid. Looks like you have 2000-2003 4.4i model? If so, Esso LT 71141 or ZF Lifeguard 5 or genuine BMW. If you have 2004-2006 with 6-speed, ZF Lifeguard 6 or genuine BMW.
