They have the feel and consistency of rock? I have no idea what that is. No plastic by any means. I was thinking maybe some wrong fluids were used during the life of the car, and maybe this is the result of some sort of chemical reaction (deposits?).
The engine looks and checks OK, and everything else.....
P.S. the red stuff is gasket maker I used for the VCG.
