i thought air gets thinner with altitude, as in height... thinner air in mountains - is it Chile or Peru with highest altitude village... and i thought not as many people live in alaska because it is cold there...

i am lost here...

doesn't the engine have an altimeter to tell the DME how to mix the fuel/air mix?
