Here's my contribution... got under the X this weekend briefly to identify the source of a clunk under certain driving conditions. The front "control arms" or "tension arm" or whatever they are called on the X and the e39 540i suspension setups bushing is worn on both sides, but worse on the driver's. It's the forward most arm that looks like it has a flat twist in it.

My question... and don't laugh. Do they make a version of this arm with a solid rubber bushing (or poly if no solid rubber)? Looking at even a new arm's bushing it has so much open space and seems like it would fail every 50 or 60k miles. Again, don't laugh too hard... lol still learning the platform.
