Curb Damage

Hello All,

First message here, but was pretty active on E46fanatics board. Last week I think my wife hit a curb with our '12 X5d. She claims she didn't hit anything, but there's a huge gash in the tire sidewall along with a large chunk of paint missing from rim.

I'm planning on taking it tomorrow to get an alignment done. Car drives straight on freeway, but does tramline when the road slopes to the right. I checked tire pressure and brought it back to 33psi. When I did that I noticed that when the wheel goes over bump it seems to pull to side.

I'm certain there's some suspension damage, but has anyone heard of the x-drive unit being damaged by curb hits? I know its premature to be worried, but none the less I worry.

One of the other items that I am concerned of is replacing the tires. I called up to Costco locally to see if they had a replacement tire. They said I'd have to replace all 4. Sucks because the tires have 12000 on them and still have at least 6/32 or more on all of them. I know on older 4wd cars it can mess up the tranny if you don't change all 4. Is that the general consensus on the X-Drive system? I know Tire rack can shave to match, but probably would rather replace front two if I could.
