So like many X5 owners, the forward/back control on my drivers side seat just stopped working. I plugged the drivers side seat control module into the pass side and the fwd/back control worked. Plugged the pass side module into the drivers side and no fwd/back (other controls worked).
So seems to point to motor being toast.
The seat is too far back to be able to take the seat out of the car :-(

So now the task of trying to remove the motor. Any DIY or schematics I can look at to see how to best remove the motor ... and in doing so hopefully that frees up the seat to slide forward.
