First, I'd make sure that 4 bolts that hold the pulley to WP shaft are not loose. If not, grasp the pulley and try to move it back and forth. There should be no play. Obviously, do all this with engine off.
Also, while engine is running, VERY CAREFULLY put the tip of stethoscope on base of WP body behind the pulley and listen for noise. That way, you'll know for sure it's WP or not, as the sound could be coming from other sources.
If WP is bad, it all depends how many miles, what's been replaced already and how long you plan to keep the car, in order to decide what else to replace.
