I still have 2 unopened cans of Ate SuperBlue Racing fluid (the fluid was sold up until a few yrs ago for "track use" vehicles, hence the "racing" in the name). I like switching from amber to blue each fluid flush because of the stark contrast between the gold/amber and blue colors (MUCH more visible then the gold/amber and clear).
I currently have the SuperBlue in the X, will do an amber swap when I install the new tires next week.

According to this it was only discontinued last year (so I thought), but you are right, 15 years ago was deemed illegal based on the coloring law. It took the Federal Government 15 years to ban it LOL
Leave it to the Feds to take 15 years on deciding how to stop sale of a non-clear or non-amber brake fluid. Can you only imagine how they actually make a budget each year in Congress?
