Yeah, the OE pad compound eats rotors up.

Almost every vehicle manufacturer uses an agressive pad compound, they would rather have pads that resurface rotors after sitting/rusting on the new car lot at the dealership. Brake jobs on new vehicles would eat into dealer profits.

If BMW provided free lifetime pads for their vehicles, I would still pass on them.
