PropellerHead is spot on. I really love these rants even though we are speaking to ourselves sometimes.
As these E53 X5 age out of the product longevity path (somewhere before 15 years), many a third, fourth and maybe fifth owners will come a crying to the forum about issues that could have been identified by any PPI BEFORE that awful purchase event. (Needs work = get a lower price as you will need it for the repairs).
Well boys and a few girls, you're at the crossroads of normal vehicle life. Fix or flip. Invest in (Buy) some tools, search the forum and read, as this site offers up a lifetime of knowledge base of "been there and done that" information. Your not alone. Time to man up, grow a set of balls and get your finger dirty.
Now if you choose to let someone else do the work, open your check book, credit card, cash, whatever and pay as everyone knows is not cheap to fix high-end cars at the end of their lives.
Viva BMWs !!!!
