sorry to resurrect an old thread but this is the problem I ran into today while trying to fix my mirrors:
The problem is, they fold but do not stay folded;easy fixable I thought...took both mirror covers out - made sure the metal pins are secured on the switch...but still having the same problem ...
What could be wrong at this point?I wouldn't care about them that much but ever since my neighbor parks her car intentionally too close to mine(underground parking)it makes getting in and out so much harder with the mirror unfolded...folding them in would make a really big difference so if anyone has any suggestions on why even after securing the metal pins to the switch they still unfold, I would appreciate it.
