Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
Exhausts are expensive for the E53, I love Eisenmann but they cost at least a grand more than other brands.

You can get Remus and Billy Boat exhaust for approx $1200 or so.
Supersprint axle-back exhaust is right around $1500-1600 depending where you buy from.

AFE Intake - Probably can get it for around $250 or so, Part #51-10681 for the Pro Dry S kit (I don't recommend the Pro 5R because of the oiled filter)

Software - I don't know much about the M62 tunes, but a Dinan Stage 1 tune will run you $399 plus half hour of labor from a Dinan dealer, and they claim 9 hp and 11 ft lbs at the crank with the tune alone.

Combine the intake and exhaust gains you MAY get 20 hp out of it all.

20 hp = $2,500, that's more than $100 per hp gain. Up to you if its worth it.

You could also try to save some money on the exhaust and get a 4.8iS exhaust used off a wrecked X5, as the pipe diameter is bigger than the 4.4 and 3.0 models and you'll see some hp gains from reduced backpressure and better flow. I know I felt some gains in not only pep when I got the 4.8iS exhaust installed on mine, but I also got some mpg gain believe it or not. I have an AFE intake too and I'm happy with it, I'll probably get a Shark Injector tune for my 3.0 next year.

But like I said earlier, anything higher and you'll need either nitrous or boost.
