I was reading about mini coopers eating up vibration damper pulleys (and yes, I get it is a 4 cylinder supercharged engine) and made me wonder about my X5. I'm pushing 145k miles and wanted to ask what peoples experience has been - do the damper pulleys on the 4.4i engines seem to have a certain life expectancy? Have they been shredding on people? The part is in the $400-$600 range, so don't want to replace a working part unless there is reason to be concerned.
