Hello!

My search foo is failing me on this one, so I'm posting what might be a stupid question:

2012 X5 35d. Just out of warranty (of course!) at 52k on the clock. Everything is running kosher but I've got myself a transmission warning light in yellow on the IC.

Absolutely no mechanical symptoms, the rig is running like clockwork.

Avoiding the dealership because I don't want to get nailed on diagnostic costs for something that might be minor, and I always like to know the answer to questions before I ask them at the dealer. So:

- Any ideas what it could be, given the complete lack of problems?
- What's the easy way for me to read this code and find out what it is?
- Does BMW have a decent track record of good willing a problem like this just out of warranty?
