01 3.0 x5. I've been out of town all week. come home and nothing an issue.

walk the dogs this morning and as we're getting back I hear the alarm. get up to it and the remote doesnt stop it. I put the key in the ignition and it wont crank the car.

I finally just unbolted the siren and unplugged it. I know its gonna keep on going off until the battery is drained though.

what can I do?

its raining outside and the hatch area is filled with tools and axles for putting in a longer axle so I really cant just leave all that in the rain and unhook the battery....
