I am on my phone so bear with me. when you downloaded the file did you extract the contents? If so one of the file should be MK 3D.MDF this is the file you should be browsing to in alcohol 120.

When I clicked on the download link on the other thread I did't open I just saved to my computer then went in and extracted
1. was a read me file
2. v26-09a.mds
3. v26-09a.mdf
If I browse and click on the MDF file name alcohol says it is a unsupported image file format.
