NM: Found what he is referring to... and it's just the ACC wire in the Fakra. This won't give you headlight control or dimming. Use the one I suggested. It was multi meter confirmed before tapping it just to double check.

you didnt read the entire thing:
"if you want the lights to dim with the dash lights you will want to splice the orange wire from the fakra into a dash lighting circuit, the easiest place to do this on most cars is the ashtray light or
at the stock head unit plug, in most BMWs the lighting wire is the grey and red wire on the blue plug. ALWAYS confirm this with a test light or voltmeter."
