I'll try to translate:
I know what I'm talking about!
The test version 26.09 was drawn back from the manufacturer because of serious incompatibilities concerning the existing hardware and their different stages of development.
It seems that our friends in the US caught exactly this build out of the bin."
Firstly I'd like to say thanks to X5 world for the opportunity to at least trial this patch. The Perspective mode does look good and aids the navigation experience.

However, from my experience I think it would be worthwhile setting up a thread to feedback crashes/bugs/issues.

I have a 2004 X5 Comms Pack and experienced the following:

- Install went fine. BT and all menu options still available and working.
- On a recalc while in NAV mode the system reset itself back to the T26 logo. It then sat there with no monitor options available i.e. the screen was unresponsive but radio still worked, etc. Powering off the car and back on had no effect - still at the logo. After about 5 minutes driving the system restarted again, back to the logo then back to a normal screen with full functionality. I haven't used it since but I expect it will re-occur.

I don't want to negate the positive vibes this beta non-release has generated, but I hope that anyone reading this thinks twice before upgrading. This patch hasn't been via the formal BMW release management process and it is unknown what damage you may do to your system. While there almost certainly won't be a hardware issue, some users may end up having to pay the dealers to get a stable version back on.
