Well first of all, you are asking a biased group. My brother-in-law has the new Cayenne S. I have driven it several times, and find that it feels very heavy. It has more of a luxury type of ride where as my 4.4 has a sporty feel to it. Even when he drives mine, he always comments on how responsive it is. The 4.4 is neck to neck with the Cayenne S, which needs almost 40hp more to pull it's weight! Not to mention it's heavier on gas too. The 4.8is would be a hands down choice...no comparison in my opinion.
