Yeah all that pin swapping would give an Asprin a headache, so I won't be doing that - plus as you said, no highbeams is illegal and also impractical. How am I gonna be a douchebag BMW driver if I can't highbeam someone?!

I will do the relay with ECU as trigger wire to pin 30 on the relay to ensure DRL on.

However, I like the idea of making them fade on/off with the interior lights in addition to DRL on. Can I just run a trigger wire off the +ve footwell to the same pin 30 on the relay?
