At 20 mph I am in 3rd gear when in D mode. I tried this multiple times on a level part of my city. If I give it gas it just ups the RPM's and stays in 3rd. No boging. If I slowly give it gas from 20 mph and go to 35-40 mph it will be in 5th gear.
So far I have been very happy with the software update. I still like the 5 speed tranny on my 2003 X5 4.4 better.
Get the upgrade!
