Mines leaking too and I've been checking out DIY's for a while. Never heard anyone mention dropping the subframe. Most DIY's have you lifting the weight off the engine and removing the driver side engine mount. ONE guy reported it was accessible by removing the driver side CV. That was a DIY though so possible that route is longer time wise just negates the engine lift.
