Sal. Don't tug the sh1e$ out of the handle if it won't give. Sometimes if you feel resistence, you know that last pull will just snap it. It should feel nice and free when you pull on the handle FWIW....

Hope your WD40 mitigates or PREVENT's the problem completely.

I've never lubed mine......but I am curious for those that do the locks religiously, has it proven it's efforts...
