^like RB said, you definitely need to have patience and be precise.
I opened my key up and replaced the battery like a year and a half ago only to have learned that I could have just tried re-programming it. Oh well...I think I get a better range with my new battery. If I was you I would check every piece of circuitry on that board to make sure you didn't damage anything. If it looks good then its all a matter of reprogramming. There are plenty of videos too. GL
