then theres the facelifted e53 2004 to 2006 (3.0i I6 as well) 3.0d then 4.4i now the v8 models got an updated v8 which is the n62 the high end e53 for model years 2004-2006 is the 4.8is which replaced the 4.6is

the hp of the 3.0is stayed the same but the v8s hp is all different the prefacelift 4.4i is about 280hp the facelifted is about 315hp the 4.6is is about 335hp and the 4.8is is 350hp
