Does anyone have any insight?

If all else fails I might be able to trace the two antenna cables that go to the oem analogue tuner and see where they go back to. This might not be possible as wires are very hard to trace when they go into a thick loom.

All I really need to know is:
1. Is there a signal amplifier in between the oem antennas in the rear bumper and the tuner itself?
2. Where abouts is it located?
3. Does the oem tuner power this amplifier when it is selected as the source on the oem headunit? does this mean i can simply feed it with 12V off an ACC 12V line?

Any info would be appreciated.
