Hmm...the interior lights coming onis anther indication that the culprit is more likely a door latch or actuator issue rather than a hood switch. The hood swithdoesn'tturn on interior lights...but a open door actuator or door latch would turn on interior lights.

An unofficial way to determine which door may be the culprit (wiithout using softwarehardware to communicate with the vehicle) is to individuually open the doors and see if/when/how the interior lights react. If the lights don't come on & go off as they should when a door is opened then closed...then it will be the culprit. This obviously takes a few minutes to diagnose since you have to wait to see the reaction for each door. don't forget the tailgate, too.
