I tend to agree with dkl, though simply from eyeball estimation over the years.
My thought is that most roads are crowned, there is more 'weight'/force exerted on right side suspension/tires as we drive, and over the many miles, that right side 'edge of road' and road edge/shoulder potholes take a toll on 'wear', regardless of car brand, model, year, et al.
Simply a non-data/non-scientific observation...
