Well done to the group for getting this far. I love this reverse engineering.
No problems on my 2004 Mk-IV system in Australia. Still getting the same redraw glitches but it has been like this since version 26.
Apart from the image I created with the roundel in my second post, here is my effort.
I made this image from scratch after looking at an iDrive startup screen. It looks great here in a web browser on the PC, but the colours look dreadful on the Mk-IV's screen - it almost looks grey.
I think we need to find out which colours are able to be displayed by the navigation computer. The splash screens don't quite look as you'd expect them to... There must be a colour table somewhere listing 'legal' colours...
