Alright well its done... I gotta say, there are positives to it, and negatives i guess.. to each is own.. I gotta get used to it now, as car is def a bit different..
First of all, the car is QUIETER when started and in idle.. how the fk?? with a bigger air intake (high flow throttle body) I though it i will make air flow more freely & make louder exhaust sound.. but its QUIETER.. hmm?? wtf?? I installed a AFE stage 2 air intake and deleted resinator, and added supersprint mufflers, and when in idle the car sounded like a beast in the rear even in idle the sound was hardcore... now after the HIGH FLOW throttle body & stage 3 tune - the car idles very quietly.. weird... very weird..
but under load - well its a different best... It def pulls better... hellla better.. where before it gave off more sound and less power, now it seems it has more power, less sound but i am puzzled as to why the idle sound is much lower, and the drone sound (which i kinda liked) when cursing around 1000-2000 RPM is also gone.. Upon acceleration of 3000 RPM and up the mufflers finally start to sing and give off that hammer sound right around 3,000+ RPM which was not as loud before..
So after 2-3 days of driving here is what I have:
1) Faster off the line.. The car when you floor it really gets going.. today I pressed pedal took off like a jet..
2.) Engine breaking has improved - coming to a stop feels better like the car is lighter, seems easier to stop. The tune must have increased engine breaking or changed up something related to it.
3.) Engine noise reduced on idle - after installation of AIR INTAKE from AFE and removing resinator and adding superspring mufflers, the car sounded very angry when in idle.. you could walk to back of car and just hear the car thumping away.. After tune and High flow throttle body, car now idles more smoothly quieter it seems... I am kinda dissapointed by that.. but at same time feel as the car/engine is breathing better/smoother/quieter.. Maybe adding the AFE Intake and FreeFlow mufflers without the right tune, made the engine software out of line, but DINAN tune adjusted engine to breathe better, so maybe its breathing easier.. Dont know.. cant explain why its so much quieter in idle..
below is a list of pro's / cons - after 3 day test:
PROS:
1.) Increased HP
2.) Increased responsiveness of car (reacts more quickly)
3.) Increased engine breaking (car stops better)
4.) Raised REV points
CONS:
1.) Reduced exhaust sound on idle
Again its been 2-3 days, so maybe car will adopt better over the next few days or when I get pass 100 mile break in period, but overall the car must be in the 400HP range now... must be.. def feels like it.
MODS Installed:
AFE Stage 2 air Intake (Claims 10-HP gains)
SuperSprint Free-flow Mufflers (approx: 8HP)
Resinator Remove (approx: 5HP)
DINAN High flow throttle Body (Claims 8-HP Gains)
DINAN stage 3 software (Fuel maps/etc). (should yeld 20 HP)
Car stock is 355 HP, iam sure the above mods gave it an extra 45-50 HP..
