THANK YOU! Precisely what I was looking for - need to buy some time before I can isolate the problem (my neighbors will thank you too)!

As a test I did pull the connector off the hood switch - funny you can still activate the alarm it seemed to me like a normally closed loop and pulling the wires would open the loop?? Unless the car senses its open and bypasses the hood?

I have DIS on an old laptop, I will dig it out this weekend - anyone know off hand where to look for security system logs?
