Tires make weird noise when accelerating

This video shows it twice:

This is just one of the many problems this 2005 3.0i has had recently. Months ago, shortly after the tires were replaced, the tires have been making this sound when I accelerate either after the car shifts in D or SD or I shift it in M. This doesn't happen when it's shifted at at least 5000 RPM.

This seems to be affecting the traction, and as a result, the acceleration speed. I'm not entirely sure, but I could have sworn the car was a bit faster before. Now I find myself having to drag race stubborn drivers with cheaper cars at full throttle when trying to pass or merge. For example today I failed at merging in front of a little old Dodge truck when we were both flooring it. There is something so wrong with that picture. Who knows if that's a tire problem though.

Regarding the noise, do you think this is a tire or drivetrain problem or something else? Could the tire change have been a fail? I'm not very auto savvy so bear with me.
