I ran mine for a further 20,000 miles or so after the juddering started and there was still friction material left on the plate when I finally replaced the torque converter



You can see the ‘judder’ marks on the face of the LUC piston which engages with the friction plate



Just make sure that you don’t leave it so long that the friction material wears off completely and you end up with a metallic debris generator!
