Rooster, no Xpert, but imo, your red acer palmatum probably receives too much shade and too much fertilizer, (from grass runoff poss.?) If fert. isn't an issue, too much shade causes many red maples to "fall back on" their basic green pigmentation to keep the chorl/sun/O2 cycle cooking.
Some rare instances of red or variegated maples "reverting" to "orig" color/varietal, IF they are a graft; rare and usually seen in just one branch, better known as a "sport".
Without the varietal/cultivar latin name specifics, tough to do more than offer this guess. GL,md
