Looks like maybe no cutting to make but did you have to drill 2nd hinge pin hole in the cheap draw bar?

When it is flipper up what stopps it from falling forward into the bumper ?

Thx for sharing your work

I will be making a specific thread soon to show how to copy this back pack rack. I had to drill 3 holes total. There is no cutting and no hinge; I was going to make it hinged so i could flip up/down with a simple pin-pull but i also want to be able to flip upside down so decided to pull the pin and disconnect; re-install either upside down or vertically. The trick is all in precise spacing of the holes for the pin so there is no rotation forward or back when vertical (or up or down when horizontal).

I also added a threaded 1/2" (12mm for non us types) hole just aft of the 5/8 main hitch pin in the car's receiver, so i can put in a threaded bent rod (think hand operated bolt) and remove 100% of play in the trailer ball, no more 'kathump' when i go over bumps.
