Since your insurance allows OEM parts then you have full right to insist on them. Even in the country there is UPS and Fedex to get them there. You are correct, adjusters do better if the pay out is less than it could have been. You may also have the right to choose what shop you want to fix it. Find out who the nearest BMW dealer uses and see if they will let you take it there.
