Its not exactly "legal" here in a sense. If im cruising around it has a nice grumble, but 2.5k rpm+ is loud as hell...

Area has something to do with it as well... Around me the cops leave you alone if its an expensive car even with mods (suburbs), more so target the tuner cars and younger crowd, they probably dont think im 21 in this though...

Im out often very late at night and if there is a cop near me or behind me I dont even go past 1.5k Rpm LOL. At night you can really hear the noise it makes versus during the day with other traffic around.
